Spending Time with the Gelmans

While visiting in California, we spent a whole day with Papa, Grams, Grandpa Glenn, Grandma Paula and Auntie Elana. We had a great time! We played at Papa and Gram's house and lit the candles for Chanukah. Noah's favorite part was listening to Grandpa Glen sing the blessings. What a beautiful voice! Noah was mezmorized.

Oh Chanukah, Oh Chanukah...

We were so lucky to make it to the Annual Chanukah Party at Auntie Shelley and Uncle Louie's house. We had a great time as always! Noah played with his little cousin Svenna and of course his big cousins Scott, Diane and Laura. We also received a ton of wonderful gifts. Thank you everyone! After the party, we watched the beautiful boat parade. What a wonderful time spent with our family. Happy Chanukah!

Thanksgiving with Denise & Dax

Denise and Dax came to visit us for Thanksgiving. Adam decided to fry a turkey for the first time, which was excellent might I add. We enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner together with Saba and Safta. It was a bit cold and wet while they were here but that didn't stop us from going to a Parade on Saturday downtown. We walked around downtown and gave them the tour. We visited the capitol and went to see how much the new high rise condo's were selling for. We even were able to find the Real World Austin house.

Noahs Birthday Weekend

Noah's Birthday was on November 8th and we were lucky to have Grammie (Janet) and Grampa Rene' come into town to celebrate. Grammie came in for a little over a week and was able to see Noah go to school and spend some extra time with him. Grampa taught Noah how to rock climb and jump off boxes! Bad Grampa! On the 9th we celebrated with friends and family at Chuck E Cheese! Noah was not scared of the "Mouse" aka Chuck E. at all. He had a great time :)

Halloween 2008

Today was Halloween! Instead of going Trick Or Treating with scared children, we made a family-friendly Halloween in the Andersons front yard. We played games, did crafts, and ate candy of course. Noah's favorites were the bean bag toss and eating lolipops and chocolate covered raisins. Everyone had a great time! You can see the photos on our other website:

Hanukkah Party 12/21/08

As you all know we were not planning on coming out to the Hanukkah Party. I was very disappointed because I have not missed this party in 27 years. Since Noah was turning 2 prior to the party it would require us to have to buy him a plane ticket. $700 is just not in the budget these days.

WE ARE COMING! We were able to get our promotional free tickets that we have been fighting for with Dockers/JC Penny for a year now and the tickets have been purchased. We will be there from the 19th @ 9am until the 23rd @ 6pm. Not only will we be able to go to the Hanukkah party but we also get to celebrate the graduation of Leora's cousin.

We look forward to coming out there and we are VERY grateful to a special someone who offered to pay for Noah's ticket.

With Love

First Night Of Sukkot

Today Noah, Ima and Aba decided to put up a Sukkah. We met at Home Depot after work and picked up our supplies: 3 painters tarps, grommets, cleaning supplies, and some hooks. Savta had given us fake fruit that she had used for years. Ima and Aba installed the grommets on the painters tarps so we can use them as the walls while Noah threw the tennis ball in the street so we would have to walk and get it. Once that was done we went into the backyard and starting hanging the tarps while Noah ran around the yard and got messy. Once the tarps were hung Noah helped Ima put fishing line on the fruit. Aba was on the ladder hanging hooks in preperation for the fruit. Noah was very helpful and handed Aba the fruit. As you can see it was very successfull. We plan on eating dinner in the Sukkah every night this week.
